Hazards & Risks in the Office Environment?

When working with any electrical equipment, there are hazards which must be controlled, and staff need to be made aware of.
The main hazards in regard to electrical equipment are fire and electrocution. Some office equipment will have moving parts, which can pose a risk of entanglement. Slips trips and falls account for around 17% of reported workplace injuries, and in Ireland 20% of those involved in a slip, trip or fall in the workplace, will spend up to 4 weeks off work.
The use of Display Screen Equipment and Office Workstations can pose a risk of musculoskeletal disorders, when ergonomic factors are not taken into account, and shared equipment is not adjustable to suit individual workers.
